In this lesson, we are making Double Sided Borders. We are showing two ways to do this.
The first way, which you can see on this page, is using using tables, two side tiles a main background and a 'blank' transparent gif to separate the background from the sides.
The second way is also using tables but without using the 'blank' transparent gif. This is a more conventional way associated with putting a webpage together.

For this page, I made three tiles,
  • The graphic that is tiled down the left of this page
  • A mirror image of the left hand tile for the right side of this page
  • A tile to use as the main background to fill the center
